Barbara Louise Stacy

Mrs. Barbara Louise Johnson Stacy, 78, passed peacefully and gracefully into glory on March 26, 2026, surrounded by her beloved family.

Greeting her in heaven were her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Louis (Etta) Johnson; her sister, Margaret (Marge) Barker; her great granddaughter, McKinley Hannah Carter; and her darling Shih Tzu, Maggie.

Barb is survived by her high school sweetheart, turned husband of 59½ years, George Stacy, as well as their three children, whom she spent her life loving, encouraging, and praying for: George (Kim) Stacy, Shelli (Dale) Tyre, and Matt (Brandy) Stacy. Her children were the apples of her eye-until the grandchildren came along: Ally (Dutch) McNeal, Madyson (Dylan) Carter, Sam Stacy, Jack (Sydney) Stacy, Elli Stacy, and Wilson Stacy; great grandchildren, Tehani Stacy, Marli Stacy, Ila Crosby, Scout McNeal, McKoen Carter, Lola James McNeal, and Mabree Carter.

Barb is also survived by her brother, Lou Johnson, along with a host of family and friends, including her cherished church family of Sweetwater Baptist.

If Barb received one jewel for every babysitting service, hand-crocheted baby blanket, knitted cap for the homeless, and personalized cross-stitch she gifted to those she loved, her heavenly crown would likely require an entourage to place upon her head.

Barb's life and legacy will be honored and celebrated on Monday, March 30, 2026, at the Music Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will follow in Greenlawn Cemetery. The family will begin receiving friends at the funeral home on Monday at 10:00 a.m.
