Barbara L. Stankoski

Barbara L. (Fraser) Stankoski, 86, of Southington, passed away peacefully at her home on Monday, September 22, 2025. She was the loving wife of Joseph M. Stankoski for 66 years.

Barbara was born in Hartford on March 4, 1939 to the late James and Agnes (Eckel) Fraser. She attended Granby schools, where she played on the basketball team. Barbara worked as an LPN at Bristol Hospital and New Britain General Hospital. She enjoyed reading, taking walks, and feeding the birds. She will be remembered for her strong faith and devotion to her prayer list.

In addition to her husband Joseph, Barbara is survived by two sons, Joseph Sterling and his wife Jeanette, and Michael Sterling and his wife Iris, both of Southington; and one daughter, Elizabeth Ali of California; grandchildren: Alexandria, Ramsey, Jessenia, Juliana, Jamillet and Natasha; and great-grandchildren: Ava, Amelie, Isa, Zara, Cody and Josiah. She is also survived by two sisters, Kathy and Peggy. Barbara was predeceased by her daughter, Catherine Mary Stankoski; one brother, Raymond Fraser; and her sister, Joan Targonski.
