Barbara I. Sugg, 80, passed away on March 27, 2025 at Landings of Oregon, Ohio. She was born to Charles and Irene (Yantz) Wiegand in Toledo, Ohio on July 3, 1944. She would go on to meet Larry Sugg and they were married on August 3, 1963. Barbara and Larry raised two children together and celebrated 54 years of marriage before his passing on July 2, 2017.
Barbara held various jobs throughout the years but was best known as a homemaker for her family. She loved playing games and attending family gatherings. She found joy in going to the casino and playing golf. Barbara was passionate about traveling; she and Larry visited all 50 states and spent their winters together in both Arizona and Florida as snowbirds.
Barbara is survived by her children, Christine Sugg-Smith and Jeff (Daniella) Sugg; grandchildren, Tyler (Clare), Kaitlin (Adam), Benjamin, Jeff (Kayla), Andrew, Alexander; great-grandchildren, Ava, Haden, Maeve, Sophia, Colby, Sawyer; brother, Ronald (Bobbi) Wiegand and cousins Jeannie and Gary Striggow. In addition to her parents, Barbara was preceded in death by the love of her life and husband, Larry Sugg and sisters, Mary Johnson and Susie Wiegand. Family and friends may visit the Freck Funeral Chapel, 1155 S. Wynn Rd in Oregon on Saturday, March 29, 2025 from 3:00 -5:00 p.m. where a memorial service will begin at 5:00 p.m.
