Bill Sugg was born on April 23, 1956 in Tucson, Arizona, the son of Martha Jo Tate Sugg and the late Lemuel Davis Sugg, Jr.
On March 25, 2006, he was united in marriage to Vicki Faith, who survives.
Mr. Sugg honorably served his country in the United States Army. He earned his Masters of Science in Healthcare Administration from Trinity University in San Antonio, Texas. From 1989 to 2009, he served as President and CEO of Sumner Regional Health Systems, Inc. in Gallatin, Tennessee. He later worked as a Tennessee Healthcare Consultant in Portland, Tennessee from 2010 until 2023. Bill was a member of the American Hospital Association and American College of Healthcare Executives and was a life member of the National Eagle Scout Association.
Bill was a healthcare professional and was dedicated to his work. He was a visionary who made things happen. He came alive around people. He was a kind and compassionate man with high standards, honor and integrity above all. Bill was a God fearing man who loved the Lord and all of his family and friends.
Bill Sugg departed this life on May 9, 2025 in Savannah, Tennessee, at the age of 69 years and 16 days.
He is survived by his wife, Vicki Sugg of Savannah, Tennessee; daughter, Sarah Morris of Blaine, Tennessee; sons, Turney Sugg of Louisville, Kentucky and Boo Weeks of Iuka, Mississippi; mother, Martha Jo Sugg of San Antonio, Texas; siblings, Russel Davis Sugg (Paige), Margaret Jolene Sugg Ford (James Franklin Ford, Jr.), and Peter Lemuel Sugg; and 7 grandchildren.
The family requests memorial donations be made to the Darryl Worley Cancer Treatment Center.
