Mrs. Barbara Ann Taylor, age 79 passed away on Saturday in Raleigh at Ms. Care Center. Her visitation will be held 9am-12:30pm Tuesday, June 18, 2024 at Ott & Lee Funeral Home in Morton. Graveside service will be held 1pm Tuesday at Hodge Hill Cemetery. Bro. Rodney Hedrick will officate the service. Ott & Lee Funeral Home in Morton is honored to serve the Taylor family.
Barbara was born in Alabama on September 3, 1944. She enjoyed shopping and getting pampered with getting her hair fixed every week, nails and toes. Barbara enjoyed her time of drinking coffee and a occasional smoke time. She was known as a spit fire. It was her way or no way. Her humor and whit will be missed by all.
She is preceded in death by her parents, John Dean and Zeddie Bell Allen Jones; daughter, Judy Ann Goss; sisters, Doris Woods and Evelyn "Dinky" Smith and brother-in-law, Leonard Smith.
She is survived by her children, Bobby Thweatt and wife, Roma of Pulaski and Angie McCrory and husband, Tommy of Morton; 6 grandchildren, Brandi Townsend (Michael), Latasha Wilkerson (Destry), Joanie Martin, Jessica Hodges (Gus), Chris McCrory (Leeann) and Tommy McCrory (Heather); 10 great grand children and a host of friends.
Pallbearers will be Tommy McCrory, Chris McCrory, Tommy L. McCrory, Allen Smith, Taylor Goss, Jaxon McCrory and Nathaniel Goss.
