Barbara Jean Teet was born January 25, 1939 in Selmer, TN the daughter of the late Lanie Bell and Eva Irene Baker Pearson.
Mrs. Barbara worked for over 27 years at Selmer Middle School. She loved her job and enjoyed seeing all the children.
Known for her green thumb and love for flowers, you could often find her working in her flower garden and watching hummingbirds. She loved to travel and made many trips to the Smoky Mountains (her favorite place), Branson, and the beach.
She had a large family and cherished spending time with her grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Mrs. Teet departed this life on July 2, 2024 in Corinth, Mississippi at the age of 85 Years, 5 Months, 7 Days. She is survived by one daughter, Brenda Teet-Barber and husband Lynn of Bethel Springs, TN; six sons, Charles Garmany and wife Sonya of Hokes Bluff, AL, Clyde Chesser and wife Kathy of Gadsden, AL, Darrell Chesser and wife Angela of Southside , AL, Todd Chesser of Selmer, TN, James Chesser of Selmer, TN, David Teet and wife Jennifer of Bethel Springs, TN; stepchildren, Wayne Teet and wife Mary of Ohio , Donny Teet of Clarksville, TN, Jack Teet and wife Colleen of Clarksville, TN; Sandra Griffith and husband Patrick of Hokes Bluff, AL;
five brothers, Lynn Pearson of Selmer, TN, Danny Monroe and wife Lavon of Selmer, TN, Willie Hugh Monroe and wife Debbie of Clarksville, MS, James Monroe and wife Vickie of Bethel Springs, TN, John Wayne Monroe of Selmer, TN; numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren; and a host of extended family and friends.
In addition to her husband and parents, Mrs. Teet was preceded in death by a stepdaughter, Dessie Teet; four stepsons, James Teet and wife Debbie, Ernest Teet and wife Elaine, Gerrell Teet and wife Sherry, Bobby Teet; a brother, Bill Pearson.
