Ruth Helen Teet, 90, of Monclova, Ohio passed away April 28, 2023. She was born May 30, 1932 to the late Norman and Clarene (Schreiner) Gase. She married James H. Teet on September 1, 1956 and he preceded her in death August 13, 2006.
Ruth is survived by her children Richard (Cindy) Teet of Whitehouse, Ohio, Diane (Bob) Johnson of Swanton, Ohio and Joseph Teet of Monclova, Ohio, sister Joyce Momenee of Monclova, Ohio, 8 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents Norman and Clarene Gase, husband James Teet, brother Herman Gase and sister Erma Jean Boyd.
Ruth was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church in Maumee, Ohio where she was very involved in numerous church committees and activities. She enjoyed making Rosaries for the church. She worked as a cashier at Kroger for nearly 30 years. In her earlier years, Ruth taught at Spratt Accordion Center in Maumee, was a member of the Monclova Fireman's Auxiliary and she loved spending time gardening and canning her own food.
Visitation will be held on Thursday May 4, 2023 from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at Peinert-Dunn Funeral Home, 6603 Providence St. Whitehouse, Ohio 43571. Her funeral mass will be held on Friday May 5, 2023 at 10:30 a.m. at St. Joseph Catholic Church, 104 W. Broadway St. Maumee, Ohio 43537. Interment will follow at St. Joseph Cemetery.
Memorial contributions may be given to Hospice of Northwest Ohio.
