Age 74, passed away May 10, 2002 at Heartland Health Care Center in Ann Arbor. She was born May 5, 1928 in Oxford, MI the daughter of Howard and Anna (Taylor) McComb. On November 1, 1947 in Detroit, MI she married John "Bill" Torok and he preceded her in death in 1978. Barbara was an area resident for over 40 years. She worked as a bank teller with the Bank of Dearborn and the Ann Arbor Bank. She was a member of Holy Spirit Catholic Church, the Women's Guild and managed the book and gift shop at Holy Spirit for many years. Survivors include her son, John Gary (Becky) Torok of Pinckney, MI, 3 granddaughters, Cassie, Laura and Amy Torok, sister-in-law, Helen Torok, brother-in-law Mike Torok, 1 niece and 4 nephews. A Celebration of Barbara's Life to be held on Wednesday, May 15th beginning with 10:30 prayers at BELL-BOREK FUNERAL HOME, HAMBURG CHAPEL and 11 AM Mass at Holy Spirit Catholic Church with Rev. Fr. William Thomas and Rev. Fr. Terry Dumas as Celebrants. Burial will in St. Mary's Cemetery, Pinckney. Memorial contributions suggested to the American Cancer Society. Envelopes will be available at the funeral home where the family will receive friends Monday 4-9 PM & Tuesday 1-4 & 6-9 PM with the Rosary at 7 PM.
