Barbara Lynne Trevean, beloved mother, grandmother, sister, and friend, passed away peacefully at the age of 88 on November 29, 2024, at Laurel Bay Nursing Home in Keansburg. Born on March 16, 1936, in Milwaukee, WI, Barbara was a beacon of love and kindness to all who knew her. She moved to Keansburg in 1966, where she would spend the majority of her cherished life.
Before her passing, Barbara was predeceased by her husband, Donovan Trevean, her daughter, Jill Trevean, and her grandson, James Trevean. Her memory will be carried on by her loving family, including her two sons and daughter-in-law, Lance Trevean, and James and Michelle Trevean; her four daughters and sons-in-law, Jenny and Sal Cascio, Jeanne and Kevin Rooney, Julie Trevean, and Jodi Trevean; her brother, William Hubbell, her sister, Sheryl Clemens; along with fifteen grandchildren, twelve great-grandchildren, and a host of extended family members and friends who were blessed to know her.
Barbara spent her professional years at Bayside Manor in Keansburg, where she worked diligently in the kitchen. Her work ethic, warm smile, and delicious meals left a lasting impression on all who crossed her path. She was not only committed to her profession but also played an active role in her community. Barbara was a communicant of St. Ann Church in Keansburg, where her faith and devotion were exemplified in her daily life. She was a devout Catholic whose beliefs guided her actions and brought comfort and inspiration to those around her.
An avid reader, Barbara found joy in the pages of countless books, losing herself in stories and the pleasure of learning. She had a particular fondness for sweets, a testament to her belief in enjoying the simple pleasures life offers. Above all, Barbara cherished her family. She was the matriarch who fought tirelessly to maintain the closeness and love that bound them together. Her efforts ensured that her family remained united, and the strength of their bond is a testament to her dedication.
Barbara's life was marked by her selfless love and the joy she found in the happiness of others. Her presence was a comfort, her laughter a melody, and her guidance a compass for those she leaves behind. She will be remembered for her kindness, her unwavering faith, and her ability to see the beauty in the world and in the hearts of the people she loved.
As we say goodbye to Barbara Lynne Trevean, we celebrate a life beautifully lived and a legacy of love that will continue to flourish in the lives of her family and all who were fortunate to know her. Her spirit will forever be a guiding light, reminding us of the power of faith, the importance of family, and the profound impact one person can have on the lives of many.
Barbara's life will be honored and her memory cherished at a Mass of Christian Burial on Wednesday, December 4, 2024, 10AM at St Ann Roman Catholic Church, Keansburg. The burial will follow at Bayview Cemetery, Leonardo.
