Barbara Mary (Casey) Tringali of Stoneham, formerly of Allston, passed away on Tuesday, October 10, 2023. She was 83 years of age.
Born on Saturday, November 25, 1939 in Boston, Barbara was the loving daughter of the late Leo F. Casey and Mary E. (Hollum) Casey. Barbara was a warm, gentle & kind daughter, sister, wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, aunt, in-law & friend who will be truly missed by all who knew her.
Barbara was the beloved wife of Angelo J. Tringali and the late Jerome Hoppa. She was the devoted mother of Michelle Sullivan and her husband Daniel, Marie–Elena Edwards and her husband Robert, Stacey Chapman and her husband Brian and the late Barbara Ann Hoppa and Michael Tringali. The cherished grandmother of Nolan Sullivan, Amanda Sullivan, Shaelyn Edwards, Samantha Edwards, Everett Edwards, Colton Pinard, Caitlin Watson & Brendan Pinard, great grandmother of Jackson Watson. She is the dear sister of the late Robert Casey and his surviving wife Carol, the late Joan Mathley and her late husband Matt & the late Francis Casey. Barbara is the sister-in-law of Frances Tringali, Robert Tringali and his wife Dianne, the late Joseph Tringali, the late Andrew Tringali & the late Jay Tringali. She is the niece of the late Francis Hollum and his late wife Helen & the late Genevieve Casey. Barbara is also survived by many loving nieces & nephews.
Barbara worked as the Archives Assistant for the Tisch Library at Tufts University for 26 years. She enjoyed spending time with her family and friends, and most recently with those at Windsor Place.
Family and friends are respectfully invited to attend calling hours on Sunday, October 15th from 2-5pm at Barile Family Funeral Home, 482 Main St. (Rt 28) STONEHAM. Parking attendants and elevator are available. A Funeral Mass will be held at St. Patrick Church, 71 Central St. Stoneham at 10am on Monday, October 16, 2023. Interment at Oak Grove Cemetery, Medford.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Alzheimer's Association or the Parkinson’s Foundation.
