Barbara Veler age 76 of Toledo, passed away Sunday December 7, 2025, at Devine Rehabilitation Home. Barbara was born in Poland to Raymond and Anna (Glaz) Sadowy. As a young girl, her family immigrated to America, and Barbara was very proud of her Polish Heritage.
She was a homemaker most of her life. She enjoyed watching TV, playing with her grandkids, Polish food, and calling her brother Joe quite often just to ask how he was doing.
She was preceded in death by her parents and twin brother John. Barbara is survived by her children, Melissa Baker, Teddy Sadowy and Marie (Jacek) Jamrozy, siblings Joseph (Theresa) Sadowy, Stanley (Elizabeth) Sadowy, Edward (Katina) Sadowy, Christine (Szczepan) Radwanski, Eva (John) Grachek and Adam (Terry) Sadowy. Also surviving her are her grandchildren Anthony Baker, Victoria (Daniel) Pitek and Agata Jamrozy and good friend Bobbie White.
The family will be receiving friends on Tuesday December 16, 2025, at St. Adalbert Catholic Church, 3233 Lagrange St., Toledo, Ohio, from 9:00 a.m. until 10:00 a.m. The funeral Mass will begin at 10:00 a.m. followed by burial in Mt. Carmel Catholic Cemetery.
