Barbara Ellen Venable, 72, of Warrensburg, MO, passed away on Wednesday, October 15, 2025, at Ridge Crest Nursing Center in Warrensburg. She was born on February 19, 1953, in Lubbock, TX, the daughter of W.D. Howard and Annie (Rogers) Howard who preceded her in death.
On January 8, 1982, in Whitesboro, TX, she was united in marriage to Kenneth Venable, who preceded her in death on September 20, 2025.
Barbara is survived by a son, Matthew "Matt" Venable and his wife Tina and their three children, Alex, Kaia, and Konrad; a daughter, Amy Bentley and her husband Leon and their three children, Abby, Brandon, and Kimberly; a son, Bradley Sewell and his two children, Jonathan and Brittany; a son, Billy Sewell and his two children, Blake and Samantha; her close friends Gayle Prospt, Lee Wilcox, Linda Lewis, and her adopted granddaughters Dyamond and Karly.
Besides her parents and husband, Barbara is preceded in death by a granddaughter, Autumn, and a brother Michael (Mikey) Howard.
A celebration of life will be announced by the family at a later date.
Arrangements are under the direction of Rea Funeral Chapel.
