Robert Daniel Hursman, 41, of Houstonia, MO, passed away on Thursday, October 16, 2025, at his home. He was born on June 6, 1984, in Sedalia, MO, the son of Jerry Lee Hursman, who resides in Sweet Springs, MO, and Ruth Ann Cramer, who resides in Marshall, MO.
On January 26, 2009, in Sedalia, MO, he was united in marriage to Sabrina W. L. Hursman, who survives of the home.
Robert was an avid outdoorsman who loved spending time in nature. He enjoyed country cruising, collecting rocks and arrowheads, and going mushroom hunting. He had a special appreciation for animals, especially his loyal dog, Apollo. One of his most thoughtful gestures was picking wildflowers for Sabrina - something that always made her smile.
Robert was known for his great sense of humor and his knack for pulling practical jokes that kept everyone laughing. He had a big heart and was always willing to lend a helping hand to anyone in need. More than anything, he cherished time spent with his family - especially his children - and looked forward to family gatherings and backyard barbecues filled with laughter and love.
In addition to his wife and parents, Robert is survived by two children, Kyrsten Hursman and Jeremiah Hursman; a granddaughter on the way, Elliana Hursman; one brother, Derrick Hursman (Tina) of Concordia, MO; two sisters, Christina Shoemaker (Kevin) of Dixon, MO, and Chelsey Arp (Michael) of Marshall, MO; along with numerous aunts, uncles, nephews, cousins, and a great-niece.
He was preceded in death by his niece, Caylee Cramer.
