Her Legacy Barbara Ann Walewski, 80, passed away November 5, 2022. She was born on March 24, 1942, in Detroit, Michigan to John Syrek and Genevieve (Nasiatka) Syrek. Barbara married the love of her life, Robert D. Walewski, in 1960, in Detroit, Michigan. Barbara was a founder of Ford Motor Credit Company. She began her career as a secretary, advancing to accountant in the Data Control Department before joining the Systems Office. She retired after 35 years as leader of the Financial Sales Systems Group. Barbara was devoted to her job and well respected among her coworkers. She was an avid reader and loved dogs. Barbara was a joy to know and will be missed by all who knew and loved her.
Her Family Barbara will be missed by her Sisters-in-law, Joan (William) Hankes, Barbara Urbaniak; cousin, William Tabaczka; many nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her husband, Robert D. Walewski, and parents, John and Genevieve Syrek.
Her Farewell Barbara's family and friends will gather Tuesday, November 15, from 10:00AM-12:00PM, at Borek Jennings Funeral Home, Hamburg Chapel. Her Community Farewell will follow at 12PM.
