Barbara Ward, 71, of Sun City Hilton Head, SC, passed away peacefully on October 20, 2025. Barbara helped many people and was loved by all who knew her.
Barbara was born in East Rutherford NJ, daughter of Lester and Evelyn (Mount) Ward. She spent her life in NJ, moving to SC to enjoy retirement.
She is survived by her step-son, Michael Venn (Josh); her sisters, Marcia Costello (Lou) and Naomi Uber (Lanny); her nephews, Michael Costello (Sandy), Peter Costello (Andrea), Jeremy Saufferer (Emily), Joe Saufferer (Libby); her niece, Katie Hildebrandt (Phillip); and many great nieces and great nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband James Venn; her parents; a sister, Ruth Saufferer and a brother, James Ward.
In lieu of flowers, please consider sending donations to your favorite charity.
A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.
