Barbara J. (Wilson) Wascher, 70, of Keyser, WV, passed away peacefully at her home on Wednesday, September 3, 2025.

Born on December 15, 1954 in Clearfield, PA, she was a daughter of the late William Harvey and Marjorie Elizabeth (Aaron) Wilson. She also was preceded in death by several of her canine companions that she loved dearly.

Barbara was a 1972 graduate of Keyser High School and spent most of her adult employment with Anchor Glass in Keyser. Barbara lived life to the fullest and on her terms. Though she moved away several times to be closer to family, her heart always led her back to where she truly belonged- her hometown of Keyser. She cherished her time at Riverdale Acres on the South Branch of the Potomac, where she loved camping, floating on the river and spending time with dear friends. She also thoroughly enjoyed a yearly tradition of being a beloved sister of the Keyser Witches with her closest friends for Halloween each year.

Surviving are her two loving sons, Daniel Wascher and wife Katie of Cedar Grove, TN and Justin Wascher and wife Taryn of Inwood, WV; her eight grandchildren whom she adored, Nathan, Josh, Nick, Kamryn, Sarah, Marissa, Ellie and Jacob Wascher; her sister, Ellen Wilson of Gainesville, FL; her brother, Dorsey Wilson of Villa Park, IL and her beloved Yorkie, "Abby."

Barbara will be deeply missed by her family, friends and all those lucky enough to have known her. Though she is no longer with us, her fun-loving, kind and caring spirit will live on in our hearts forever.

A Celebration of Life with close friends and family will be scheduled in the coming week.

The Smith Funeral Home and Crematory, Keyser, is in charge of the arrangements.
