Barbara Mae Webster

Barbara "Sister" M. (Gifford) Webster passed peacefully on October 31, 2025, surrounded by her family.

Born at the Gifford family farm to Ruth M. and Harold I. Gifford Sr., stepdaughter of Merrill C. Gifford. She felt fortunate she was able to live and grow up with her maternal and paternal grandparents in Marstons Mills.

She graduated in 1949 from Barnstable High School where she was Captain of the Girls Field Hockey team for 4 years.

After high school she served as secretary of Cotuit Grange 318, many Air Force Installations where her husband was stationed and an administrative assistant to the Superintendent of the Town of Barnstable Department of Public Works until her retirement.

She enjoyed traveling when she was working for the Air Force and lived in California and Japan during those years making many fond memories for her family. After retirement she traveled with her family to New York, Las Vegas, the Bahamas, Italy and Greece. Making memories to last a lifetime.

In her spare time, she enjoyed carrying on the family traditions of baking, sewing and knitting. She was fascinated by researching the family history and preserving the genealogy for future generations.

She is predeceased by her husband Kenneth A. Webster Sr. and brother Harold "Skippy" I. Gifford Jr. She is survived by her brother Ronald "Ronnie" E. Gifford. Her children Janice M. (Aalto) Wytrwal (daughter of Edward N. Aalto) of Grafton, Ma; stepdaughter Marilee Pecorelli and her husband Peter of Vero Beach, Fl; Kenneth "Heidi" A. Webster, Jr. of Marstons Mills, Ma and Jo-Ann Webster of Northampton Ma. One granddaughter, Jenna M. (Wytrwal) Tokarz and her husband Jesse of Worcester, Ma and his three children Sophie, Isabella and Charlotte whom she absolutely adored as bonus great grandchildren along with several nieces and nephews.

Visiting hours will be held from 4p-6p on Friday, November 14th at Chapman Funerals & Cremations, 3778 Falmouth Road, Marstons Mills, MA. A Funeral Service will be held on Sat., November 15th at 11am in the United Methodist Church, 57 Pond Street, Osterville, MA. Burial to follow in Marstons Mills Cemetery. A reception will be held after at the Fred Curits Hall, located at the Osterville Methodist church.
