Barbara Joan Wile

Barbara Joan Wile, a beloved mother, grandmother, and friend, gracefully departed this world on December 2, 2025, at the age of 84. Born on January 10, 1941, Barbara was a beacon of warmth and kindness, known for her big giving heart and her remarkable ability to connect with everyone she encountered.

Throughout her life, Barbara epitomized the spirit of generosity and companionship. She never met a stranger; her engaging personality transformed mere acquaintances into lifelong friends. Conversations with Barbara were always full of laughter and joy, as she effortlessly bridged gaps and fostered meaningful connections.

Barbara had a zest for life that was contagious. Her love for playing bingo and visiting casinos provided her with countless joyful moments, often surrounded by the laughter of family and friends cheering her on. Those who knew her cherished these memories, where every game played was not just about winning, but about the joy of being together.

Barbara was the proud matriarch of a large family, leaving behind her daughters, Ladawn Eyre and Tammy Butcher, her son David Butcher and daughter-in-law Nancy Butcher, her son James Butcher and daughter-in-law Nancy Butcher, and her son Ronald Butcher. She also adored her grandchildren who aided in her care: Jessica Sands and Jeremy Sands—affectionately known as "Jer bear"—and her great-grandchildren, Elizabeth Consolo and Ethan Consolo. Barbara leaves behind many grandchildren and great-grandchildren. In their presence, Barbara found great joy and countless reasons to smile.

She was preceded in death by her devoted husband, Frederick Wile, and her son, Paul Guy Butcher, who left an indelible mark on her heart. Barbara was also joined in spirit with her parents, Layman Bargerhuff and Lula Bargerhuff, both of whom instilled in her the values of kindness and compassion.

Though Barbara has left this physical realm, her spirit and the love she shared will resonate forever in the hearts of those who were fortunate enough to know her. Her legacy of warmth, generosity, and unwavering love for family will continue to inspire all who carry her memory. As we remember Barbara, may we find comfort in the lessons she taught us about the importance of connection and the joy of simply being present with one another.

A Celebration of Barbara's Life will be held at Ohio Western Reserve National Cemetery, 10175 Rawiga Rd, Seville, OH, 44273, on Friday, December 19, 2025 at 2:15pm. Guests wishing to attend the committal service should arrive at the cemetery no later than 2pm.
