Keith Wile Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Snyder Funeral Homes, DeVore Chapel on Jan. 21, 2026.
Keith Allan Wile, age 48, of Sunbury, Ohio, passed away on Monday, January 19, 2026, at 2:20 p.m. at Riverside Methodist Hospital in Columbus, Ohio. Born on May 9, 1977, in Canton, Ohio, Keith was the son of Robert Donald Wile Jr. and Jean Brawley Georgeoff.

A proud 1995 graduate of Pickerington High School, he went on to earn his bachelor's degree from the College of Mathematical and Physical Sciences at The Ohio State University in 2002. His dedication to education continued throughout his life; he was a 2011 graduate of the American College of Financial Services and shared his passion for mathematics as an Assistant Professor of Calculus at The Ohio State University. Keith currently worked for DXC Technology as a Sr. Supervisor Compliance Officer.

On July 8, 2011, he married the former Jennifer Ann Carlisle. Together they built a life centered on family and community. Keith was a man of deep faith and involvement, being a parishioner at St. John Neumann Catholic Church and a member of the Sunbury Eagles Aerie# 503. He was perhaps best known for his storytelling; he could captivate a room with ease, humor, and warmth.

A devoted father, Keith's greatest joy was found in supporting his daughter, Barbara Kay Jeffries and his son, Alex. Whether they were fishing at Alum Creek, attending sporting events, or watching Alex play football for Big Walnut, Keith was always his son's biggest fan. His passion for sports extended to his community, where he served as a coach for Big Walnut Youth Basketball. He was a loyal supporter of the Cleveland Browns, the Cleveland Guardians, and his beloved Ohio State Buckeyes. Keith took pleasure in seeing his daughter Barbara thrive and reach impressive achievements. From traveling to volleyball tournaments starting in the 4th grade, to witnessing her ascend to the role of a National Club Volleyball Coach, her dedication and passion have been truly inspiring. Additionally, celebrating Barbara's graduation from Bowling Green University and her commitment to nurturing young minds as a Catholic Kindergarten Teacher at St. James The Less has been a source of immense pride and joy.

Keith is survived by his wife, Jennifer; his children, Alexander Keith Wile and Barbara Jeffries; his father, Robert Donald Bob Wile Jr.; his mother, Jean Georgeoff; his brother, Derek Wile; and his sisters-in-law, Rhonda Watson and Angela Wile. He is also survived by his aunts, Sharon Brawley, Deborah Brawley, Jennifer (Tom) Johnson, Lavonda Martin, Delois Moore and Dorthy Stacy. Also surviving are his sister in-laws, Rhonda Watson, Angela Wile and Kenya Muncy; his nieces and nephews, Kaitlyn Muncy, Olivia Wile, James (Caitlyn) Muncy, Bruce Irving, Jersey Scott and Kaleb Amerson.

Keith was preceded in death by his brother, Brett Wile; his stepfather, George; and his aunt, Vina Sue Luster.

A Funeral Mass will be held on Tuesday, January 27, 2026, at 12:00 p.m. at the St. John Neumann Catholic Church with the Rev. Fr. Dan Dury Celebrating. Friends are invited to call on the family at the church from 11:00 a.m. until 11:45 a.m. Cremation will take place following the services.

The family suggests memorial contributions in Keith's name be made to the family's GoFundMe page to help with medical bills and final expenses and/or to: St. John Neumann Catholic Church, 9633 E. State Route 37, Sunbury, Ohio 43074.

St. John Neumann was the first male U.S. citizen to be canonized as a saint, renowned for founding the first Catholic diocesan school system in the United States and serving as the patron saint of Catholic education, immigrants, and sick children. The St. John Neumann Catholic Church in Sunbury, Ohio, was established in 1977 as a mission of St. Paul's Parish in Westerville to serve the growing Catholic community. Over the years, it has expanded to include more than 2,000 families and features a newly built Eucharistic Adoration Chapel, reflecting its vibrant and active parish life.

The Snyder Funeral Homes, DeVore Chapel, is privileged to serve the Wile Family in their time of need.
