She was a secretary for the State of New Jersey before her retirement in 1983.
Her husband, Melvin E. Winkelman, died in 2010.
Surviving a son and daughter-in-law, David Winkelman and Dr. Margaret Faustini-Winkelman; a daughter, Christina; five brothers, Thomas Niebauer, Pete Niebauer, Michael Niebauer, Robert Niebauer, and Patrick Niebauer; a sister, Mary Catherine Cowher; and three grandchildren, Olivia, Luke and Gabrielle Winkelman; and a dear friend, Judy Taylor.
The viewing will be held at the Higgins Memorial Home, 20 Center Street, Freehold on Sunday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St. Rose of Lima Church, Freehold on Monday at 12 p.m. followed by interment at St. Rose of Lima Cemetery. Memorial donations to the St. Vincent de Paul Society of St. Rose of Lima Church or the St. Vincent de Paul Society of St. Thomas More Church, Manalapan Township would be appreciated.
