Barbara J. Wolf
Barbara "Barb" Wolf, age 86, of Erie, passed away on Wednesday, April 30, 2025, at her residence at St. Mary's at Asbury Ridge. She was born on September 9, 1938, in St. Marys, PA, the daughter of the late Norbert G. and Mary I. Stubber Wolf.
Barb was a 1961 graduate of Villa Maria College where she received her BS degree.
She was employed at St. Vincent Hospital as a medical technician from 1961-1986 and then at Associated Clinical Laboratory from 1986-2001.
She was a member of St. Peter Cathedral where she sang in the church choir. She was a member and past president of the American Business Woman's Assoc., a member of the Erie Philharmonic Chorus, a member of the Erie Cursillo Movement, a member of and past President of Twinbrook Auxiliary Pink Ladies, and a volunteer at the Red Cross as a phone operator.
Barb loved to travel and she never let her handicap hinder her. She traveled throughout Europe, Coco Bay in Nassau Bahamas, the Mission of Friendship in Merida, Mexico, as well as many places in the US as far as Alaska and Hawaii,
Barb enjoyed reading and kept herself well-informed about political and current news events. She also thoroughly enjoyed her circle of friends, hosting many luncheons and card games at her home.
Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her step mother Rose Calla Wolf.
She is survived by many cousins but was very close to her Erie cousin, Donna Raubenstrauch (Ron) and second cousins Dana Moses and Jeff Raubenstrauch who always remembered her at special times and helped her with many tasks.
A Funeral Mass will be held at St. Peter Cathedral, 230 West 10th Street, Erie, PA on Thursday, May 15, 2025, at 10 am.
Private inurnment at Holy Rosary Cemetery in Johnsonburg, PA.
All arrangements were handled by the Dusckas-Martin Funeral Home and Crematory, Inc. 4216 Sterrettania Rd.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Shriners Hospital for Children, 1645 West 8th Street, Erie, PA 16505 or to the charity of one's choice.
