Barbara is survived by her daughter, Christy Anne Carson (Wallace), her son; Colton Alexander Hanks (Amanda) and his child, Caden and her daughter, Madelyn Grace Brown; son, Robert Redd Womack (Lacie) and his sons, Jordan and Cal (Sydney) Smith and his daughter, Kelly Paige Womack; brother, Thomas Overton Smith (Suzie); his kids, Matthew Carl Smith (Stephanie), Aidan and Nola; sister, Nancy M. Williamson; her kids, John Fredic Williamson and Anne-Marrie Gallant.
She truly loved her sports, especially the New York Yankees, Duke Blue Devils and of course Mr. LeBron James himself. She made the best chocolate chip cookies ever! 'Ging' as she was known by her grandkids, we all truly loved you one last time. Barbara moved down to South Carolina with her grandson Colton, his wife Amanda and great grandchild Caden, where she got to live out the rest of her life.
A graveside service will be held on Wednesday, April 1, at 3 p.m., at Centenary Methodist Church Cemetery 1280 Guinea Rd, Farmville, VA in Cumberland County. In honor of Barbara's life, memorial contributions can go to Centenary Methodist Church Cemetery fund, or a special charity of choice.
