Barbara Ellen Yoho, 84, of Carmel, passed away peacefully on August 3, 2025. She was born in Lancaster, OH, on April 22, 1941, daughter of Beman and Pauline (Beery) Keister.

Barbara was a graduate of Columbus North High School Ohio, continued her education at Ohio State University, and finally received her master's in education from IUPUI, Indianapolis.

As a voracious reader, Barbara enjoyed reading all genres of books and would often share with the Carmel Wednesday Literary Club of which she was a long-time member. She was pleased that her son, Ed, shared her same passion for reading.

Other memberships include Mariam's book club and P.E.O. International.

In addition to her parents, Barbara was preceded in death by her husband, Edward Johnson; brother, Ben Keister, sister-in-law, Linda Keister; brother-in-law, Dennis Johnson; and sister-in-law, Joyce Johnson.

Survivors include her devoted husband, Richard Yoho; son, Edward Johnson (Kathy Kniep); stepson, David Yoho; stepdaughter, Kelly (Bobby) Whiting; grandchildren, David (Lilly) Yoho, Matthew Yoho, and Tabitha Yoho; great-grandchildren, Colton and Eli; brother-in-law, Paul (Linda) Johnson; several nieces and nephews.

A time of visitation will take place on Thursday, August 28, 2025, from 1:30 pm till 3:30 pm in Carmel United Methodist Church, of which Barbara was an active member. A private family service will follow. Barbara's final resting place will take place in Washington Park East cemetery.
