Barry Gene Coppinger

Barry Coppinger passed away unexpectedly Friday, November 7th, 2025, at his home.

Barry was born September 27th, 1964 in Sequatchie, Tennessee to the late Jack and Virginia Hamblin Coppinger. He was a 1982 graduate of Marion County High School and was employed by NA Industries in Chattanooga for the last 35 years.

Barry's great passions in life were camping either on the lake or in the Smokies, and riding his side by side through the mountains with family and friends.

Barry is survived by his wife of 27 years, Sheila Henderson Coppinger, sons, Brandon (Randi) Coppinger and Zach Coppinger, daughter, Brianna Coppinger Angel, two grandsons, Hudson and Tate Angel, brother, Vern Coppinger, sister, Karla Coppinger (Joe) Wilber, mother-in-law, Sue Henderson, sister-in-law, Lisa (Jim) Roberts, brother-in-law, Randy Henderson, special niece, Brittany Roberts (Jonathan) Crawford and their son James, along with a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

In addition to his parents, Barry was preceded in death by a niece, Carrie Hudson Thomas, and father-in-law, Junior Henderson.

A graveside service for Barry will be held Wednesday, November 12th at 2:00 pm at Friendship Cemetery in Hixson, Tennessee. The family requests casual dress, as this is what Barry preferred.

Due to limited parking space near the grave site, the family requests that all able bodied persons park at the bottom of the hill so that there is sufficient space for the immediate family, elderly, and disabled near the grave site.

Brandon Coppinger, Zach Coppinger, Randy Henderson, Jim Roberts, Jonathan Crawford, Ralph Stembridge, Bryce Toups, Adam Holland, Mason Weas, and Greg Weas will serve as pallbearers.
