Deerfield Beach, FL - Barry Garelick passed away peacefully from pneumonia on November 6, 2021 at North Broward Hospital after spending his final day in the presence of loved ones. Born October 9, 1943, in Brooklyn, New York, he is survived by his loving partner of 23 years, Anne Weidler, by his son, Michael Garelick (Beth) and grandson Max, his daughter Amanda Gibson (Mark), granddaughter Laura Balder (Bryan), great-granddaughter Olivia Balder, granddaughter Nicole Gibson, grandson Zachary Gibson and his brother Stanley Garelick (Etta) as well as his stepson Scott Wharton (Mariette) and step grandchildren Dane and Reid.
Barry grew up in Brooklyn, NY, earned a business degree from Pace University, and was a systems analyst at Chase Manhattan Bank in New York for 15 years. He also had his own business, a silkscreen factory. Barry was a Renaissance man, an accomplished watercolor painter, photographer, enjoyed nature, traveling, camping, woodworking, and most of all loved his family. He was beloved by all and will be remembered as a loving, kind, humorous and devoted partner, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, brother, and friend. He will be missed by all.

Funeral arrangements are handled by Mount Sinai Memorial Chapels, with funeral service at Hebrew United Cemetery in Staten Island, NY on Thursday, November 11, 2021 at 11 AM.
