Barry Helmuth

Barron "Barry" Helmuth of Doylestown, PA left us June 2nd 2024, he was 82. Born in Secane, PA to the late Barron Helmuth and Sarah (Haring) Helmuth.
Married to Diane (White) Helmuth for over 52 years, she was the love of his life, she was by his side when he passed.
Proud and loving father to Glen Helmuth (Regina), Jessica Schweder (Scott), Dana Bielucke, and late baby John Albert. Barry was a steady presence in their lives and had great comic timing - always saying something unexpected. There were many things he "ain't gonna take no more " but he did, because he was a great man.
For most of his adult life Barry was a press operator at PCI in Pennsauken NJ. In his younger years, a volunteer firefighter who was known to chase after a firetruck from time to time.
"Pop Pop" Barry enjoyed the heck out of his grandchildren. Lily 19, Dylan 16, Stella 14, Bradley 10 and Logan 8. He spent much of his retired life with the grandkids - reluctantly turning off his beloved Phillies for the kids cartoons. Even when it was tough to walk down to the beach, he always rented a house to host his growing family. At the end of one summer vacation, we'll never forget Pop Pop whispering to his trusted Golden Retriever "It's almost over Zepplin". He was a good sport!
Barry always put others first and his family is strong, loving and sly with humor as a result. His motto was "Take it easy!" and you could count on a loud "How ya doin!" with every visit.
For a guy with bad hearing, he didn't miss a trick and his faces when he heard something he didn't like were priceless.
Barry Helmuth embraced life in his own special ways, and he will be remembered with countless stories and the most fond memories by all who knew and loved him. We will miss you Pop Pop.
The family will receive their friends at the Varcoe-Thomas Funeral Home, 344 North Main Street, Doylestown, PA 18901 on Friday, June 7, 2024 from 10:00-11:00 am, with a service to follow.
Cremation services were private.
