Funeral service for Barry "Bear" Hill, 58, will be Sunday, April 27, 2025 at 11:00 AM at Peck Funeral Home Chapel with Leslie Peace officiating and Peck Funeral Home directing. Burial will be in Hough Cemetery. Visitation will be Sunday, April 27, 2025 from 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM at Peck Funeral Home.
Mr. Hill died on Thursday, April 24, 2025 at his residence. He was born June 15, 1966, in Marshall County, to Jesse Noel Hill and Shelia Diane Pitts Hill, who preceded him in death.
He was employed by General Standers Company, in Tech Analysis, as a Programmer, prior to his passing. "Bear" as he was affectionately known, was a Volunteer Firefighter for over 30 years with the Lacey's Spring and Talucah Volunteer Departments. He served as Santa Clause and enjoyed handing out toys and bringing joy to the children. He was a Native American and a member of the Cherokee's of Alabama. He loved his family with all of his heart, especially his grandchildren.
Survivors include; Wife - Matonda Simmons Hill, his Sons - John Hill (Celina), Michael Hill and Austin Hill and his Daughters- Nicole Hill (Layna), Jessy Bradford (Tyler), and Natalie Davies (Ashton), and Eight Grandchildren- Scarlett, Leland, Zane, Leah, Wakley, Emberleigh, Walker and Kash.
Pallbearers will be John Hill, Michael Hill, Tyler Bradford, Ashton Taylor, Johnny Abbett and Austin Hill.
