Barry I. Kehr, 85, of Perry Twp., passed away Friday, May 30, 2025 in his residence. He was the husband of the late Dolores A. (Snyder) Kehr, died July 28, 2016.
Born in Ontelaunee Twp., he was the son of the late Edwin and Edith (Wily) Kehr. He graduated from Perry High School. Barry was a US Marine veteran. He worked as a wire drawer for Carpenter Technology for many years before retiring. He owned and operated Kehr's Taxidermy, Perry Twp., for 30+ years; and he received many accolades for his work, even some nationally recognized awards. He belonged to various gun clubs in the area and enjoyed trap shooting and hunting. Barry was a fan of the Phillies and Eagles; he also enjoyed cars and had rebuilt some old ones. Throughout his life, he went on various hunting trips, and always enjoyed going to Alaska.
He is survived by a son: Kris B. Kehr, husband of Julie, Leesport; a granddaughter: Liliana; and a sister: Barbara (Kehr) Adam.
Funeral Services will be held Tuesday, June 3, 2025 at 11:00 am from Leibensperger Funeral Homes, Inc., 223 Peach Street Leesport. Burial will follow in St. John's (Gernant's) Cemetery.
