Christine A. Heckman, 90, of Mohrsville, passed away on Saturday, May 24, 2025 in the Reading Hospital. She was the wife of John A. Heckman, who died February 3, 2014.
Born in Centre Twp., she was the daughter of the late Wayne B. and Catharine (Warmkessel) Mitchell. Christine was a 1952 graduate of Muhlenberg High School. She worked in the office at Diener's
Knitting Mill, Leesport. Christine was a member of Bethany E.C. Church, Leesport. She enjoyed bird watching, gardening, reading, and ceramics.
Christine is survived by her children: Perry A. Heckman (Lori), Mohrsville; and Denise A. (Heckman) Emmick (Timothy), Mohrsville; four grandchildren: Brandon Emmick (Jennifer), Devon Emmick (Kristin), Cory Kerschner (Bonnie), and Erica Berger (Dana); nine great-grandchildren; and her sister: Mary R. Miller, Leesport. She was predeceased by a grandson: Dustin John Emmick.
Services will be held on Saturday at 10:30 am from Leibensperger Funeral Homes, Inc., 223 Peach Street, Leesport. Burial will follow in Belleman's Cemetery, Centre Twp. A viewing will be held in the funeral home Saturday 9:00 to 10:30 am. Memorial contributions may be sent to Bethany E.C. Church, 308 Main Street, Leesport, PA 19533.
