Barry Paulson Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Wiley Funeral Home - Granbury on Mar. 16, 2026.
Barry Paulson, 74, passed away Tuesday evening, March 10, 2026, in Fort Worth, Texas, surrounded by his wife, son, and daughter. He was born on May 11, 1951, in Nanaimo, British Columbia, Canada to Clayton and Noreen Paulson.

Barry was a devoted husband, loving father, and proud Papa who dedicated his life to his family. Whether golfing, fishing, traveling, or enjoying time on the patio with family and friends, his warmth and humor made him one who people were always glad to be around.

Retiring as Chief Engineer of Verizon after 35 years with the company, Barry was a hardworking man who took great pride in providing for those he loved. His willingness to help those around him was unmatched. Guiding and supporting through opportunities which otherwise may not have been possible gave him great pride.

Barry was preceded in death by his parents, Clayton and Noreen Paulson, and his son-in-law Jason Russell.

He is survived by his loving wife of (53) years, Christy Paulson; son, Ryan Paulson and wife Rachel; daughter, Keri Russell; three grandchildren, Elle and Kate Russell and Joseph Paulson; brother, Rick Paulson; sister, Shelley Eisenbarth & husband Roger; niece, Kelley Paulson; nephews, Tyler and Connor Moore.

A Celebration of Life will be held at 3pm. on Friday, March 20th, 2026, at Wiley Funeral Home Chapel in Granbury with a reception following at the family home.
