Bart Wayne Tennant

Bart W. Tennant, 66, of Berthoud passed away September 20, 2024 in Gunnison, while fishing with his best friend, "Brother" Bob. He was born February 21, 1958 in Rawlins, WY to Donald Evan and Loydeen (Foster) Tennant.
He attended Boulder schools and graduated from Boulder High School in 1976.
Bart met Karen when his Dad arranged their first date in 1979. They were married at St. Malo Church in Allenspark, Colorado and had 44 interesting and wonderful years together.
Bart was the Master Electrician of Boulder County for 30+ years and made lifelong friends there. He was happiest when he was golfing, fishing, camping, dancing, going on road trips, bead-working, storytelling, and "getting some sun".
Bart lit up a room-it was impossible not to be seen and heard and entertained around Bart. He loved his family and he made EVERYONE feel like family. He never met a stranger. His family and friends were truly his greatest treasures.
He will be remembered for his unique style, his sense of humor, and his greetings of "Hey Handsome," "Hey Gorgeous," and "Hey Bro."
He is survived by his wife, Karen of Berthoud, Colorado, and his son, Cody (Amy) of Timnath, Colorado, his brothers and sisters: Scott (Pam) Tennant of Niwot, Shari (Michael) Johnson of Longmont, Kent (Jenny) Tennant of Firestone, Deb (Bob) Griffin of Ft. Lupton, Leanna (Pat) Mastaler of Kennewick, Washington along with many beloved nephews, nieces, and great-nephews and nieces.
Bart's Life Celebration will be held at 11:00 AM Wednesday, October 2, 2024 at Shupe Homestead, 11931 N. 61st St., Longmont, CO 80503. In lieu of flowers, memorial gifts may be made to the National Park System, the USO, or a Native American charity of your choice in care of Adamson, 2000 47th Ave., Greeley, CO 80634.
