Bayani Carangalan "Jun" Fulgencio Jr.

Bayani "Jun" Carangalan Fulgencio Jr., 76, of Virginia Beach, VA, passed away peacefully on August 11, 2025, surrounded by the love of his family. He was born on January 2, 1949, in Cavite City, Philippines, to Anita Caranglan and Bayani Fulgencio Sr.

Jun proudly served in the United States Navy, dedicating 21 years to his country as a Petty Officer First Class and Vietnam veteran. His service was one of his greatest honors, and he carried his pride as a sailor throughout his life.

He is survived by his beloved wife of 53 years, Virginia; his daughters, Lovelyn San Diego (Froilan) and Charlene Chivas (Justin); and his cherished grandchildren, Madeline San Diego, Colin San Diego, Kerington Chivas, and Jackson Chivas. Jun is also survived by his brothers, Efren, and Henry (Emelee); his sisters, Femia (Rod), Yolanda (Kirk), Au (Dave), Luz (Julius), and Liberty (Al); and a large extended family of cousins, nieces, and nephews whom he loved dearly.

Jun will be remembered for his deep loyalty, quick wit, and sense of humor. A devoted and hardworking man, he poured his heart into caring for his family. He enjoyed cooking, fishing and crabbing, playing cards and mahjong, spending time with friends, and sharing stories from his Navy days.

Visitation will be held on Friday, August 15, 2025, from 5:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. at Hollomon-Brown Funeral Home, Princess Anne Chapel.
