It is with great sadness that the family of Margaret "Peggy" Matzer announces that she peacefully passed away while surrounded by her loved ones on Tuesday August 26, 2025, at the age of 74 years.

Peggy is survived by her loving husband, David, of 41 years; children Tamara (Samuel); daughter-in-law Amiee; stepchildren David (Amy), Jenifer (Andrew); 6 grandchildren; siblings, Barbara, George, numerous cousins, nieces and nephews.

Peggy was predeceased by her parents George and Theresa; siblings Georgette, Douglas; and son James.

Peggy was born in New Brunswick, New Jersey and graduated from St. Peter's High School. She had an associate's degree from the University of Maryland. She was the president of the Lompoc Kiwanis Club. Peggy was a member of numerous online quilting organizations and gaming sites. She always enjoyed telling stories and making time for friends and family.

A Memorial Service will be held at 2:00 P.M. on Saturday, September 6, 2025, at Hollomon-Brown Funeral Home, Princess Anne Chapel at 3445 Princess Anne Road, Virginia Beach, Virginia 23456.

In lieu of flowers please consider donating to the American Lung Association and/or Jack Russell rescue foundation.
