Beatrice Ware

Beatrice "Bea" Ware, of Rockford, departed this earthly life, September 21, 2023. She was born August 22, 1945 in Collierville, TN the daughter, Amy Herndon and Cleveland Tharps. Beatrice lived in Rockford since 1957 coming from Memphis, TN. She married Cannie Ware Sr., he preceded her in death. Beatrice was employed as a salesperson by Goodwill Industries, and Walgreens. She was a member of New Zion Missionary Baptist Church, serving with the Nurses Auxiliary and as a Sunday School teacher. Beatrice was a member of the Queens Club. She graduated from West High School and Altamore Cosmetology School.
Beatrice leaves to cherish many loving memories, two daughters, Davita McWilliams and Tyke McWilliams; two sons, Ritchie (Latris) McWilliams and Monty Walker; 14 grandchildren; 35 great grandchildren; eight sisters; and one brother; a host of nieces, nephews other relatives and friends. She was predeceased by her parents, husband; two daughters, Tracey Walker and Linda Redd; son Brandon Ware; and one brother.
Services will be held 1:00 p.m. Friday, September 29, 2023 at New Zion Missionary Baptist Church 4726 Jasper. Burial in Greenwood Cemetery. Visitation will be held 11:00 a.m. until the time of service. Arrangements completed by Carl E. Ponds Funeral Home Inc. 200 N. Johnston Ave.
