Dale L. Johnson, 63, of Rockford, IL passed away Saturday, February 14, 2026. Dale was born June 16, 1962, in Chicago, IL the son to Leroy and Margaret (Jingle) Johnson. He attended Oaklawn High School, graduating in 1980. Dale married the love of his life, Honoria Torregosa on July 1, 2006. Dale was a retired truck driver. He was an avid Chicago Bears and Chicago White Sox fan. There was not much that Dale could not fix, and he enjoyed working in his yard. Dale will be deeply missed by those who knew and loved him.
Dale is survived by his beloved wife, Honoria; brothers, Leroy (Anita) Johnson, Jeff (Kerry) Johnson, and Terry (Birgit) Johnson; father and mother-in-law, Miguel and Irenea Torregosa; in laws, Milagros Alce, Rebecca Magan, Alberto Torregosa, Francisco Torregosa, and Adelia Trazo; many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Predeceased by his parents, Leroy and Margaret.
Services are private per Dale’s wishes. Cremation rites entrusted with Fitzgerald Funeral Home & Crematory. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be to the family for a cause to be determined.
