Beatrice Alice Wheeler, age 94, passed away peacefully on August 5, 2024. She had believed on the Lord Jesus Christ, His death on the cross for her, and His resurrection. She was ready to be with Him.
Beatrice was born on August 11, 1929 to Gerald and Fanny Rugg. She married the love of her life, Allen Wheeler, on June 4, 1949. They enjoyed their lives together, working hard, raising three daughters, and taking many adventures. They also enjoyed their retirement together. They made lots of friends in Arizona and in Wisconsin where they spent their summers at their beloved cottage. "Bea" was spunky and had a great sense of humor. She especially loved a good game of cards, but only if she won, which she usually did. She loved her family and found special delight in each of her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Beatrice is preceded in death by her husband Allen, parents Gerald and Fanny Rugg, and brother Duane. She is survived by daughters Cindy Wheeler, Diane (John) Larsen, and Elizabeth Wheeler, 4 grandchildren, 14 great-grandchildren, and many loving family members and friends.
The family wants to extend a special thank you to the staff at Lake House for their kindness and their sweet care of Bea the past few years. They would also like to extend a big thank you to Bea's special niece, Vikki Jenson, for stepping in and providing Bea so much love and tender care.
A Memorial Service will be held on Wednesday, August 14, 2024, at 1:00 PM at the Chetek Lutheran Church. A visitation will be held from 11:00 AM until the time of the service. The family invites those attending for a luncheon and time of remembrance following the service.
The Burnham-Ours-Kolstad Family Funeral Home was entrusted with arrangements.
