Becky Sowers of Glasgow, KY passed away after a courageous battle with ALS. She was born on Feb 1, 1951 to William (Bill) and Edna Myers in Burlington, lowa. They moved to Glasgow, Kentucky, in 1968 where she lived the rest of her life. She loved living in Kentucky.
Becky graduated from Glasgow High School in 1969. She worked for Brown and Williamson Tobacco Company.
She had two children, Chad and Shawn with Edmond (Jim) Sowers. They were married for 20 years.
Her kids and grandkids were the light of her life. Becky enjoyed boating and going to the beach. She loved going on cruises and vacationing in Florida, and visiting her sister, Judi Marsh whom she united with only a few years ago. The friendship they had was precious to her.
While raising her kids, they spent weekends camping and boating with friends. More recently, she enjoyed card games and regular lunch gatherings with her friends.
She is survived by sons, Chad (Robyn) and Shawn (Beth) Sowers, grandchildren, Hunter, Bailey, Luke and Lily Sowers, and sister, Judi Marsh.
She was preceded in death by her mother, Edna, and father, Bill.
A memorial service will be held Thursday, October 23 from 3:00 to 6:00 pm at A. F. Crow & Son Funeral Home.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to ALS Association or the Shanti Niketan Hospice Home in Glasgow, KY.
