Phillip Quinton "Speedy" Sowers, 63, of Archdale, NC, passed away peacefully at his home on October 5, 2025.

Born on August 26, 1962, in Charlotte, NC, Phillip was the son of the late John Sowers and Polly Marsh. Known affectionately by many as "Speedy," Phillip brought energy, laughter, and light to every room he entered. His sense of humor, outgoing spirit, and boundless love for life made him unforgettable to all who knew him.

Phillip was a man who found joy in the simple things-morning walks around the neighborhood, the sound of classic Rock 'n' Roll, and the satisfaction of a job well done with a paintbrush in hand. A talented and meticulous painter, he took pride in his work and was known for his exceptional skill and attention to detail.

More than anything, Phillip loved people. He had a gift for making others laugh, lifting spirits, and lending a helping hand whenever one was needed. Whether it was a neighbor in need or a friend going through a tough time, Phillip was always there with a joke, a smile, or a solution.

He is survived by his loving wife, Shirley Sowers; his daughter, Jessica Morgan; his son, Matthew Sowers; and his brothers, Chris, and Mark Sowers. He also leaves behind his cherished feline companion, Titus, who rarely left his side.

Phillip's legacy is one of laughter, kindness, and generosity. He will be deeply missed by his family, friends, and all who had the pleasure of knowing him.

A private memorial will be held by the family at a later date.

In memory of Phillip, take a walk, turn up some Rock 'n' Roll, and remember to laugh-just like he would've wanted.
