Rebecca "Becky" Ann Fowler Whitlatch, daughter of the late Asier Fowler and Jewell (Smith) Fowler
was born on June 26, 1954 in Scott City, Missouri and departed her life on Wednesday,
February 5, 2025 at the Chaffee Nursing Center in Chaffee, Missouri at the age of 70
years.
She was a former employee at Family Counseling and Med Stop One both in Cape Girardeau, Missouri
and was a charter member of Scott City First Family and Youth Worship Center in Scott City.
She was first united in marriage to David "Poonie" McCormick. He preceded her in
death on September 5, 1995. She was then united in marriage to H.L. "Bud" Whitlatch.
He also preceded her in death on September 8, 2002.
Survivors include one son, Jason (Myra) McCormick of Scott City; one brother, Mike
(Charlotte Knupp) Fowler of Scott City; one sister, Betty (Dennis) Thomas of Hillsboro, Missouri;
two grandchildren, Danielle Ivey of Scott City and Dalton (Sarah) McCormick of Marble
Hill, Missouri; eight great-grandchildren; also, by other relatives and friends.
Besides her husbands and parents, she was preceded in death by one daughter, Tammy
Renee Zitter; one brother, Dale Bollinger; two sisters, Christine Bollinger and Nadine Scoggin.
A Celebration of life will be conducted at Scott City First Family and Youth Worship Center on March 22, 2025 at 2 pm.
The family would like to Thank the staff at the Chaffee Nursing Center and Hospice for all the love and care they showed Becky and the family.
