Becky Lee Zello, 43, of Oakland, MD, passed away on Friday, August 8, 2025, at J.W. Ruby Memorial Hospital, Morgantown, WV.
Born April 20, 1982, in Latrobe, she was the daughter of Jackie Beason Haase and Michael F. Zello (Kim) of Latrobe.
Becky attended the Kent Center in Oakland, MD, and participated in Girl Scouts and The Special Olympics, having medaled in bowling. She was a strong-willed fighter who persevered through many challenges in her life.
Becky was preceded in death by her grandparents, John and Elizabeth Beason, John Mehalic, and Michael Zello; and her Godfather, Joe Beason.
In addition to her parents, Becky is survived by her sisters, Melinda Graham (Charles) of Dayton, TN, Amber McMillian (Nate) of Greensburg, Alyssa Grimm of Latrobe, and Alexis Zello (Matt) of Latrobe; nieces and nephew, Skylar, Danica, Pyper, Isabella, Aubril, Jaxon, and Paisley; her grandmother, Mary Mehalic; a special aunt, Joanne Sulkosky; aunt and uncle, Becky and Larry Graham; and her Godmother, Denise Desport.
Family and friends will be received from 2 to 8 PM Tuesday at the Lopatich-Brinker Funeral Home, LLC, 601 Weldon Street, Latrobe. A funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10 AM Wednesday at St. Joseph Church, Derry, with the Rev. Salvatore Lamendola as celebrant. Everyone is asked to please go directly to the church.
