Ben Baxter Babin, Jr., native of Gonzales, Louisiana, passed away on Friday, March 04, 2022, at his home in Church Point, Louisiana, at the age of 52. A true patriot, he honorably served in the Louisiana National Guard. He was the owner of Cabb Electric. He was a graduate of East Ascension High School as well as Louisiana State University. Ben Jr. is survived by his two beloved children, Josie Babin and Kane Babin and their mother Julie. He is also survived by his parents, Colonel Ben Baxter Babin, Sr. and Ramona Dougherty Babin, sister Bridget (Pete Robbins) and brother Barrett Babin. Ben/Mona/Bridgette & Barrett : As your oldest and best friend who earlier in my life helped Christine and I through a most difficult time when our daughter Karin was run over by a car in Baton Rouge. It is with deep sorrow and with some understanding what has transpired in your family. I write this to you and and Mona. As we have known each other in the National Guard since 1968 and as a fellow officer we have overcome many difficulties, but none as overpowering as loosing a child. I can only impart mine and Christines journey over the years and you will never forget your child, but try and remember all the good times with Ben Jr and his relationship with all of us. I was so proud of Ben jr. when he worked for me for a period of time and remember his attention to detail and always trying to improve his position in life. This is his legacy by which you set by your example. I will forever remember him and our friendship. God bless you and your family and we will keep him in our prayers.
