I worked with Ben for many years at Cole Vision exchanging stories, experiences, and friendship up and down New England-New York-New Jersey. No one who knew Ben can ever forget his spot-on Cher singing and dancing routine at a Cole Vision event. I wish I had known sooner of Ben's passing. Ben was among the most intelligent, articulate, creative, and kindhearted people that I have been lucky enough to know. I wonder if he ever found the remaining pages of his Franklin Planner that swooshed from his car while driving the NY Thruway near Albany.

I met Ben at a gym in the 1980's and became fast friends. Despite a tough childhood narrative, Ben was not bitter or accusatory, but accepting and appreciative.
Ben was thoughtful, smart, pragmatic. He was a photographer and in fact won a prize for one of his photos which I painted for him. He pave me great advice with financial and computer matters.
Ben was brave during his throat cancer journey, in fact taking the time to document his daily experiences to help others.
Ben enjoyed running and skiing, but faced his later physical challenges with grace and perseverance. He was rational about the future.
Ben was interested in the world and helping the humans in it. He participated in the clinical trials of the covid-19 vaccine. He tutored strangers across the globe.
Ben worried about politics, doing his part to set it straight with his involvement as administrator of facebook groups.
I will miss Ben and the qualities that made him an invaluable friend.

I joined Ben's online group supporting democracy in the US. I enjoyed his posts & the newspaper articles he gifted members.
I never met him personally but felt I knew him & will miss those interactions.
Rest in peace, my friend.

We moved here about the same time. Walked up to him in the MG clubhouse and said hi Ben. He looked at me and said "who are you?" Typical Ben. I will miss my friend.
