Beni James Domokos III, a beloved husband, brother, and friend, passed away peacefully on November 7, 2024, in the care of Stein Hospice. He was 64 years old. Born on February 26, 1960, in Port Clinton, Ohio, Beni was the son of Beni Jr. and Mary (Cooley) Domokos. He was a proud graduate of Oak Harbor High School.
Beni was known for his hardworking nature and unwavering dedication to his work. He spent many years with Zimmerman in Oak Harbor, painting highways, where his commitment to his craft earned him the respect of his colleagues. No matter the challenge, Beni never gave up, always pushing through with a determined spirit.
On May 6, 2001, Beni married Victoria Greathouse. Their shared love of music, laughter, and adventure made their 23 years of marriage full of cherished memories. Beni's love for music was undeniable. He had a special fondness for Elton John, with "Bennie and the Jets" being his favorite song. A natural performer, Beni loved singing karaoke, often entertaining friends and patrons at local spots like Waldo Peppers and Bell Mell Tavern.
A passionate sports fan, Beni was a dedicated follower of the Oakland/Las Vegas Raiders and the Ohio State Buckeyes. He also enjoyed the simple pleasures of life, such as walking his dogs, attending family reunions and holiday gatherings, and taking vacations, including memorable cruises with his loved ones.
He is survived by his wife, Vikki; step-daughters, Jennifer (Matt) and Kim; siblings, Wayne (Sue) Fick, Jerry (Donna) Fick, Darrell (Lynne) Domokos, David Domokos, and Roger Domokos; along with many nieces, nephews, and grandchildren who will miss him dearly. He was preceded in death by his parents, his nephew Mitchell Domokos, and many aunts, uncles, and cousins.
