Billie Jay Wadsworth

Billie J. (Bill) Wadsworth, 49, passed away suddenly on November 18, 2025, at Magruder Hospital in Port Clinton, OH. Bill was born on August 23, 1976, in Port Clinton, to Harold J. and Bonnie J. (Rose) Wadsworth, Sr., and was the youngest of three children. He attended Penta County Vocational School, graduated from Oak Harbor High School, and studied electronics at Terra State Community College. From a young age, Bill had a keen interest in how machines worked; he was even known to dismantle his mother's household appliances to understand their inner workings.
Most recently, Bill worked in maintenance at Duke Energy's Davis Nuclear Power Plant. He also built and repaired computers and related technology, including assembling gaming computers and a fully functional race car simulator for himself and his son to enjoy. One of Bill's passions was motorcycles; he loved modifying and riding them. Some of his favorite adventures included riding Tail of the Dragon. In addition to his hobbies, Bill dedicated countless hours to helping family members and friends in need, especially his parents and siblings. Most recently, Bill served as an unofficial photographer for his son's JV and Varsity football teams, taking game-day photos and sharing them with other Port Clinton football parents.
He is survived by his son, Benjamin J. Wadsworth of Port Clinton; his parents, Harold and Bonnie Wadsworth, Sr. of Port Clinton, OH; his sister, Amie Gohlike of Port Clinton, OH; his brother, Harold J. Wadsworth, Jr. of Port Clinton; his nephew, Harold J. Wadsworth III (Brooke) of Elmore, OH; eight aunts and uncles; and nineteen cousins. Bill was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Albert and Anna Mae Wadsworth; his maternal grandparents, Chester and Doloris Rose; his uncle, Kevin Wadsworth; his brother-in-law, George Gohlike; and his beloved dog, Zoe.
