Lynne Zibert-Domokos, 64, of Genoa, OH, passed away after a long illness at her home, surrounded by her loving family. Known for her compassion, selflessness, and quiet strength, Lynne faced life's challenges with unwavering faith and grace. She was born on January 31, 1961 in Port Clinton, OH to Robert and Mary Lou (Stout) Zibert. On March 23, 1991 at St. Paul Lutheran Church, she married Darrell Domokos, and he survives. She was loving known as "Sarge" to her family.
Before falling ill in 2013, Lynne served as the manager of Our Guest Inn & Suites in Port Clinton, where she took great pride in her work and cherished her time with owners Ron and Deb Miller. Through her years there, she formed many lasting friendships with guests and colleagues alike.
A devoted Ohio State Buckeyes and Cleveland Indians fan, Lynne loved cheering on her teams and sharing those moments with family and friends.
When reflecting on Lynne's life, those who knew her best remember her deep faith and compassionate heart. Her relationship with God was the foundation of everything she did. She rarely spoke of her own pain, choosing instead to lift up those around her. Lynne believed that faith was not simply something to hold in your heart, but something to live out - through kindness, service, patience, and love.
Lynne is survived by her loving husband of 34 years, Darrell Domokos, siblings Andrea (Steve) Wagner, Bobbi (Doug) Mahler, and John (Kim) Zibert; grandsons, Brady and Gunner, and nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Robert and Mary Lou Zibert, son, Mitchell Domokos, and nephew, Matthew Zibert.
Lynne's family and friends will forever cherish her gentle spirit, strong faith, and the countless ways she made life brighter for those around her.
