Benita Munoz De Rubio, 78 of Plainview, passed away on Wednesday, October 8, 2025. A visitation will be held on Monday, October 13, 2025, at 4:00 pm to 8:00 pm with a Holy Rosary being recited at 6:00 pm at Lemons Memorial Chapel. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:00 am, Tuesday, October 14, 2025, at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church in Plainview. Burial will follow in Plainview Memorial Park. Funeral arrangements are under the care of Lemons Funeral Home.

Benita was born on April 3, 1947, in Villa De Reyes S.L.P Mexico, to Juan Munoz and Josefina Casteneda Munoz. She married Ricardo Moreno Rubio in October of 1986 in Tulia, Texas and they shared thirty-four beautiful years together before his passing in 2021.

Benita was a devout Catholic and was an active member of Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church in Plainview where she served as a Guadalupana and helping in the Jamaica's every year. She was a hard worker and loved cooking, but what she loved doing the most, was taking care of her family. Benita will be deeply missed.

Benita is survived by her sons, Jose Arroyo of Tulia, Texas, Cesar Cecilio Arroyo, Rogelio Arroyo Jr. (Gracie Arroyo) and Richard Rubio, Jr. all of Plainview, Texas; two daughters, Maria Guadalupe Arroyo and Patricia Arroyo both of Plainview, Texas; four grandchildren and seven great grandchildren; one brother, Juan Munoz of Monterey, Mexico; and one sister, Rosa Munoz of Chihuahua, Mexico.

Benita is preceded in death by her husband, Ricardo Moreno Rubio, her parents, Juan and Josefina Munoz and many siblings.
