Benito García Obituary
Benito came to Oklahoma at the age of 17 from Oaxaca, México to build a better life. He was of Christian faith and attended the Holy Cross Catholic Church in Madill, Oklahoma. On November 11, 2017, he married Martha Salinas at Saint Williams Catholic Church in Durant, Oklahoma. Benito enjoyed cooking, taking care of his animals, and spending time with his family and friends.
Survivors include his loving wife Martha Salinas; daughters Nayeli Paz of Durant, Oklahoma, Leslie Paz of Durant, Oklahoma, Paulina Pescador of Durant, Oklahoma, Alma Salinas of Durant, Oklahoma; sons César Salinas of Durant, Oklahoma, Guillermo Salinas; mother Anastacia García Barrios of Oaxaca, México; sister Edith García of Oaxaca, México; as well as other extended family and friends.
Family visitation will be held from 5:00 - 10:00 pm on Monday, February 9, 2026 at the Gordon Center, 305 N 2nd Durant, Oklahoma.
A funeral service will be held at 2:00 pm on Tuesday, February 10, 2026 at Holy Cross Catholic Church, 1010 S 5th Ave, Madill, Oklahoma with Father Raúl Sánchez officiating. A graveside service will follow at Mead Cemetery in Mead, Oklahoma. Hugo Hosorio, César Salinas, David Figueroa, Eduardo Pérez, Víctor Pescador, Heleodoro Reyna Hernández, Miguel will serve as pallbearers.
The family requests those in attendance to please wear white or blue to the service.

Benito Paz García, de Durant, Oklahoma, falleció el jueves 5 de febrero de 2026 a la edad de 40 años. Nació el lunes 22 de julio de 1985 en La Soledad, Matías Romero, Juchitán, Oaxaca, México, hijo de Anastacia García Barrios y Alejo Paz Caballero.
Benito llegó a Oklahoma a los 17 años desde Oaxaca, México, en busca de una vida mejor. Era de fe cristiana y asistía a la Iglesia Católica Holy Cross en Madill, Oklahoma. El 11 de noviembre de 2017, contrajo matrimonio con Martha Salinas en la Iglesia Católica Saint Williams en Durant, Oklahoma. A Benito le gustaba cocinar, cuidar de sus animales y pasar tiempo con su familia y amigos.

El velatorio familiar se llevará a cabo de 17:00 a 22:00 horas el lunes 9 de febrero de 2026 en el Gordon Center, 305 N 2nd, Durant, Oklahoma.
El funeral se celebrará a las 2:00 p. m. el martes 10 de febrero de 2026 en la Iglesia Católica Holy Cross, 1010 S 5th Ave, Madill, Oklahoma, con el Padre Raúl Sánchez oficiando. El sepelio se realizará posteriormente en el Cementerio de Mead en Mead, Oklahoma. Hugo Hosorio, César Salinas, David Figueroa, Eduardo Pérez, Víctor Pescador, Heleodoro Reyna Hernández, Miguel servirán como portadores del féretro.
La familia solicita a los asistentes que vistan de blanco o azul para el servicio.
