Benjamin Joseph Arcano, 86, of Kansas City, passed away December 29, 2022.  Visitation will be from 10am-11am on Friday, January 6, followed by services at 11am, all at Longview Funeral Home.  Burial will follow at Longview Cemetery.  Memorial contributions are suggested to the Alzheimer’s Association.

Benjamin was born on January 10, 1936 in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, to Rufino and Mary (Gryeski) Arcano.  He graduated from high school in California before enlisting in the U. S. Navy.  He served in Vietnam and Hawaii before returning to the mainland and working as a recruiter.  After his retirement from the military, he worked as the Print Shop manager at Children’s Mercy Hospital.  Benjamin was an avid reader, enjoyed bowling, and was a member of St. Bernadette’s Parish.

He was preceded in death by a son, Benjamin, Jr., and is survived by his wife, Sondra “Sonnie” Arcano; children, Tina Perez (Randy) and Adam Arcano (Molly); daughter-in-law, Carla Arcano; grandchildren:  April, James, Paige, Logan, Grant, Bronson, Heather, Bryson, Cody, Anthony, Karly, and Courtney; great grandchildren:  Rylee, Elliot, Liam, and Kaia; other relatives and friends.
