Sondra Kaye Arcano, 83, of Kansas City, passed away on July 23rd, 2024. Visitation will be from 10am-11am on Wednesday, July 31st followed by services at 11am, all held at Longview Funeral Home. Burial to follow at Longview Cemetery. In lieu of flowers please consider donating to Midwest Animal ResQ.


Sondra was born on March 10th, 1941 in LeMars, Iowa to parents Emory and Mildred Schorg. She graduated from Gehlen Catholic High School in LeMars, Iowa. Upon graduation she worked at D.W. Newcomers funeral home for many years as an Administrator in the office. She would look back at these year with fondness. In her free time she enjoyed spending time with her family, traveling to Hawaii and California, and adoring her eclectic collections.


She was preceded in death by Husband Benjamin Arcano, Parents Emory and Mildred Schorg, son Benjamin Jr., and sister Norm Thorma. She is survived by her brother Roger Schorg, children, Tina Perez (Randy) and Adam Arcano (Molly); daughter-in-law, Carla Arcano; grandchildren: April, James, Paige, Logan, Grant, Bronson, Heather, Bryson, Cody, Anthony, Karly, and Courtney; great grandchildren: Rylee, Elliot, Liam, and Kaia.
