Obituary published on Legacy.com by Brown-Van Hemert Funeral Home - Hudson Chapel on Mar. 12, 2026.
BENJAMIN E. BOWERS, age 79 of Hudson, passed away on Monday, March 9, 2026, at the family farm in rural Hudson. Ben was born on October 12, 1946, in Hudson, the son of Owen and Nelle (Wood) Bowers. He graduated from Hudson High School in 1965. Ben lived on the family farm or around the corner of it his entire life.

Ben married Marcia Randall on February 11, 2006, in Hillsdale. She survives. Ben was a dairy and hog farmer his whole life. He enjoyed being outdoors. Ben was an avid hunter and trapper, especially for deer and raccoon and his excitement of opening day of deer season with Jennifer and Blaine. He enjoyed fishing, camping and spending time with family. Ben passed his love of hunting, fishing and trapping to his children and grandchildren. The memories made will never be forgotten.

Surviving Ben, besides his wife, Marcia are his children, Jeff Bowers and Jennifer (Jack) Randall; step children, Michael (Nicole) Hull and Jeremiah (Kristen) Hull; grandchildren, Blaine, Alyssa (Jimmy), Hunter (Rachael); step grandchildren, Alexzandra (Gerald), Karley (Cesar), Brady, Kiyomi, Kenji, Jason (Kari), Justin (Tricia), Jessica, Emily (Cody) and Michael (Alyssa); eleven step greatgrandchildren; a brother, William Bowers and many others. He was preceded in death by his parents and step grandchild, Elizabeth.

Cremation has taken place and no public services are being planned. Memorials are suggested to Reading Emergency Unit of Hillsdale County or The Humane Society of Hillsdale County. Friends can express sympathies to the family online by visiting the tribute wall at www.brownvanhemert.com. Arrangements have been made with the guidance of the Brown-Van Hemert Funeral Home, Hudson.
